About This Zine
Updated 2026-09-08
Molotov Mouthpiece is an anti-establishment zine. We cover political corruption, corporate malfeasance, and the slow rot of the institutions you were told to trust. We are not a newspaper. We are not a think tank. We are the people in the room asking the questions the room keeps shushing.
The name is not a slogan. It is a description of the method. A molotov mouthpiece is a microphone that you throw. It does not whisper. It does not "present multiple sides" in a way that lets the powerful side pick which side actually gets loud. It goes where the power is and it makes a scene on the way down.
What This Place Is For
We exist to do three jobs, and we are not doing them politely:
- Follow the money. Corruption hides in filings, shell companies, sweetheart contracts, and press releases. Our job is to pull the thread and show you the whole sweater.
- Name the malfeasance. When a corporation buries a risk, when an officeholder enriches itself in a corner office, when a regulator looks the other way, we say the name out loud. No euphemisms. No "allegedly," unless that is literally all we can prove.
- Document the decay. Institutions do not fail on a schedule. They fail in small, boring, deniable steps. We keep the record of those steps so that the pattern is visible before it is too late to be useful.
How We Work
Every article we publish is researched from primary sources wherever we can get them: court documents, congressional records, regulatory filings, official statements, and reporting from outlets we trust. When we cannot verify something the way we would like, we say so in the article. A zine that does not tell you where its confidence runs out is not a zine. It is a rumour mill with better fonts.
Most of our reporting is automated and published in near-real-time, which is why the feed moves fast. That does not mean it moves carelessly. Every piece that reaches you has passed a bar: is it new, is it sourced, and does it say something the headlines skipped. If a story fails that bar, it does not get published. A fast zine that publishes trash is just fast trash.
Who Is Behind This
Molotov Mouthpiece is run by a small team of journalists, researchers, and one stubborn set of opinions. We are not anonymous, because anonymity is for the people who have something to hide from the very public we are trying to inform. We do not take advertising money, because advertising is how you end up reporting on your landlord. We do not take money from the sources we write about, because that is the moment you stop being a press and start being a PR department with a byline.
What We Are Not
We are not a substitute for your own thinking. We hand you the documents and the analysis, and you decide what they mean for you. We are not a protest in the sense of a single issue with a single answer. We are a protest in the sense of a standing refusal to look away. We do not ask you to believe us. We ask you to check our work, and we welcome you to.
If something we publish is wrong, we will correct it plainly. If you think we missed something, or handled something badly, tell us. This zine is built to be read, argued with, and pushed back against. It is not built to be comfortable.
Contact
Corrections, tip-offs, complaints, data requests, or anything else can be sent to editor@molotovmouthpiece.com. We read what comes in. We answer what we can. And if we cannot answer it, we will tell you that rather than pretend we did.
